10 Tomato Varieties for Small Containers

10 Tomato Varieties for Small Containers

Orange Hat Tomato

Orange Hat is an increasingly popular miniature dwarf tomato variety that excels in both taste and yield. This tiny variety grows no taller than 10 inches tall and requires only a 6-inch pot to harvest golden-orange cherry tomatoes.
You can grow it in smaller containers (even in individual 16 oz cups!), but the plants won't reach their full size. Orange cap plants grow more "outward" than "upward," so although they don't exceed 10 inches in height, they can be bushy if grown in 1-gallon pots. If you have a larger pot, you can plant multiple orange cap tomatoes at least 5-6 inches apart.

Micro Tom
